You will study at Academia Buenos Aires, located in the very heart of Buenos Aires. It is housed in a 19th-century historic building located right behind the Plaza del Mayo and the Casa Rosada (the presidential palace). Here you will find yourself in easy walking distance of some of the most famous monuments and sites of this cosmopolitan city. All professors have experience teaching in public institutions and possess a solid background in language training and applied linguistics. Courses are designed with a steady focus on communication, while also addressing the grammatical aspects of the language. School facilities are modern and comfortable and offer all the necessary audio and video equipment for classes. The Academia Buenos Aires is partnered with the private university ESEADE (Instituto Universitario Escuela Superior de Economía y Administración de Empresa). Students have the option to pay for an extra exam in order to earn a university transcript from ESEADE.

Accreditation: Academia Buenos Aires is accredited by SEA, the language school association of Argentina. Academia Buenos Aires is also an "Accredited Center of the Cervantes Institute”. It is the first and only language center in Buenos Aires to have received this quality certification.
History & Size: Academia Buenos Aires was founded in 2003 and attracts students from all over the world.
Class Information: Class size is never more than 7 students to a teacher. Classes take place weekday mornings (9:30 AM - 1:30 PM). Many of the students come from Europe.
Facilities: School facilities are modern and comfortable and offer all the necessary audio and video equipment for classes. Classrooms have comfortable chairs, whiteboards, wooden floors, and climate control (hot/cold) etc. The building in which the school is located is historic and was completely restored in 2004, resulting in a surprising mix of modern elements in a century-old setting. Rotating art exhibits give an interesting insight into the contemporary art scene in Buenos Aires. Academia Buenos Aires occupies the top floor of the building with access to the rooftop terrace. There are 10-12 classrooms available for teaching at any time. Add to that 4 PCs with internet access (plus Wi-Fi all over the school), a small library with books and DVDs, a movie room, the teachers? room and, of course, the area where students spend their breaks.
Teaching Style: You will find that the teaching style in other countries is different than what you are used to. If you have any concerns or questions about this when you are in Argentina, please ask your director! Our directors are always available to address any concerns you have regarding the academic component of the program.
Certificate (or Transcript): You will receive a certificate from the Academia de Buenos Aires. This document is handled by the Sol Abroad office. If you pay the optional fee to Academia for the university transcript you will also receive this additional document.
