Cultural activities include tango performances, yoga classes, and tours of the unique neighborhoods and museums, such as San Telmo and La Boca. These activities are designed to accentuate the unique character of Argentina and Buenos Aires and make your stay the richest experience possible.

Tango Performances

Experience the passion of a Tango performance, the essence of Argentine culture. Born in the port areas of Buenos Aires in the 1880s this dance has a long and colorful history. It incorporates influences from the many immigrant groups who came to Argentina. To watch an actual performance in the milongas, or dance halls, is unforgettable. The sensuality that the dance requires mixed with the concentration and intensity of the dancers leaves a lasting impression.

 

 

Museum Visits

Buenos Aires is home to countless museums. During your program we’ll visit the many highlights located throughout the city. You will visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, the most important art museum in the country. Works by van Gogh, Renoir, and Monet are some of the most notable artists on display. Another major museum is the National Historic Museum. Follow the history of Argentina from its colonial beginnings to the present. Many items from South America’s colonial past are also on display here.

 

 

Soccer Matches

Watch a futbol match in the famous La Boca stadium and experience the bliss of soccer in Argentina. Soccer is a passion and way of life in Argentina. No experience would be complete without taking part in this national pastime!

 

 

Buenos Aires City Tour

We will wander the bustling streets and grand avenues of the city and then explore the numerous historic neighborhoods. Buenos Aires vibrates with the history and energy brought by countless European immigrants at the turn of the 20th century. We will visit La Boca, with its brightly painted homes, and San Telmo; both neighborhoods founded by Italian immigrants. We will then cross over to La Recoleta and Barrio Norte, which boast a French aristocratic style. With its charming European character and delicate balance of the historic and modern, Buenos Aires' neighborhoods showcase the unique personality of Argentina.

 

Theater Night

 

Buenos Aires has a thriving theater culture. Theater in Argentina is an important means of expression and is very popular amongst Argentines throughout the country, not only in the capital city. In Buenos Aires you will find quality equal to that of theater in London, New York, or Paris. This is truly the Paris of South America!

 

 

Dance Classes

Learn about the epitome of Argentine cultural expression—the sensual tango. Take lessons with local teachers and delve into the passion and art form that Argentine tango embodies.
