Medical Insurance

Comprehensive International Medical Insurance is included in all of our study abroad programs as part of your program price! Coverage is provided through Atlas International and is very extensive, so please make sure you read over our policy. The policy covers any medical expenses for up to $50,000 USD while you are studying abroad and has no deductible for the student. A larger policy is included if your school requires it.

How to File a Claim

In the event you need medical attention while abroad, you will have to pay for any medical expenses and submit a claim form directly to Atlas International for reimbursement. If for any reason, you are not able to pay for the medical attention received; our directors and staff will pay the medical expenses for the student until you can reimburse us. To file a claim, please submit the original, itemized bills and payment receipts to Atlas International along with a Claim form. This can be done via phone with Atlas at 800-605-2282. To file a claim, all you will need is your full name, SSN & passport information. Claims must be filed within 60 days date of your policy. This insurance policy does contain pre-notification requirements. You need to notify Atlas International in advance (within 48 hours for emergencies) for any hospitalizations or surgeries as well as other items listed on your identification card or in the policy description.

Using your own Medical Insurance Policy

Students enrolled in our programs can also choose to use their own or existing insurance policy. After applying to our program, you can state which policy you will use when you complete the "Insurance Verification Form". You may only pick one policy, our policy CANNOT BE used a secondary policy. Some students and families may choose to use their own insurance policy, therefore please make sure you select that you do not want our policy when you complete your application forms. Once you are a student, you will be able to login directly online.

Additional Days of Insurance Coverage

We are happy to provide you additional days of insurance coverage AFTER OR BEFORE your official program dates. If you are going to be arriving early or staying later and would like insurance during those days, simply send us an email letting us know the exact additional days you will need insurance. We will let you know what the additional cost will be.
