JOB TITLE: Intern

HIGHLIGHTS: Gain experience by working for a world-class study abroad program!

JOB DESCRIPTION: A Study Abroad company based in Austin is looking for a dedicated intern that will work closely with our team to provide support in all aspects of our business. You will work directly with our staff, onsite directors & students. This is can be a full-time or part-time position, based on availability. It is unpaid but has the possibility of becoming paid and long-term.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: You must possess international experience and have studied abroad or at least been involved with study abroad in some way. You must be outgoing and gregarious and comfortable around university students. Experience in at least one of the following countries: Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, or Spain.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled as a university or college student & working on Bachelor's degree
• Studied Abroad (preferred)
• Proficiency in Spanish (preferred)
• Understanding of international education (preferably have studied abroad in the past)
• Ability to be creative and attend to details
• Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as carry out assigned projects
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist & advice with study abroad advising
• Participate in local recruiting
• Develop and maintain knowledge of study abroad programs and foreign universities
• Assist with the planning, promotion, and administration of special projects and events, such as the Pre-Departure orientations
• Depending on need and the intern's background and interests, other opportunities may arise
