All Sol Abroad programs include cultural activities that are done during the weekday afternoons. These activities are designed to accentuate the unique character of the country and make your stay the richest experience possible. You will receive a calendar listing the scheduled cultural activities one month prior to the start of your program. Cultural activities include activities such as cooking classes, dance classes, and cultural tours of the area. Below is a list of possible cultural activities offered during your program:

Costa Rica has a rich tradition of Caribbean dances.
Costa Rica has many good museums, in particular those dedicated to Costa Rica's unique culture and traditions. There are also great museums and parks dedicated to its immense biodiversity.
Organic Farm & Medicinal Plants Tour
San José has a thriving theater culture. Often there are performances in San José at the ornate National Theater or one of the other well-renowned venues in town.
Wildlife Rescue Center Tour
Learning to cook traditional dishes while abroad is the best way to take something back from your experience.
